New Year's Eve in the Tyrolean mountains

The festival at the end of the year

Celebrating Christmas and New Year's Eve in the mountains is always an exceptional experience. The impressive scenery of the Nordkette in combination with the romantic townscape, cannot be compared to anything else, and Innsbruck offers the best setting for this.

Innsbruck - New Year's Eve in the mountains for kids

A cat's leap into the new year - CHILDREN'S SILVESTER on 30.12.

Under the motto "A cat's leap into the new year", children can celebrate in style on 30.12. from 1pm to 7pm, one day before the official turn of the year. Throughout the old town and on the Landestheat forecourt, young visitors can look forward to a variety of play, craft and hands-on stations. Whether face painting, theater, glass blowing, hands-on circus or dance activities - there is something for everyone. The Old Town restaurants also invite young visitors to enjoy free refreshments. Children's punch, Kaiserschmarrn, chips and much more are on offer at several locations in the Old Town.

St. Jacob's Cathedral is also part of the program: Exciting stories are told in the fairytale tent on the forecourt, while Bishop Hermann Glettler, among others, gives a 'blessing for young and old' in the cathedral from 4pm to 6pm. The children's rock'n'roll band "Kool Katz" will provide the crowning finale to the "Pre-Silvester" at 6 pm on the large stage on the Landestheater forecourt.
